Mrs. Miller Rites Wednesday
Services for Mrs. Herbert (Elma J.) Miller, 77, Resort township, who died at University Hospital in Ann Arbor Sunday, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Stone Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Stokes will be in charge and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. She was born Aug. 30, 1888 in Resort township and was married to Herbert Miller June 24, 1914 in Resort township where they resided until 1921 when they moved to Petoskey. When he retired from the city of Petoskey in 1956 they moved back to Resort. She was a member of the United Church of Christ and active in the Lady's Guild. Surviving are her husband; three sons, Robert of Grand Rapids, Fred of Petoskey and Donald of Carle Place, L.I.; five granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Albert Billiau of Petoskey, Ewald of Resort, John of South Bend, Arthur or [sic] Resort and Harold of Pontiac; a sister, Mrs. Harry (Amelia) Miller of Petoskey. The body is at the Stone Funeral Home where friends may call.
