18 Sep 2007: Ada M. Devers, 86, formerly of Williamstown died Monday, September 17, at Conemaugh Medical Center, Johnstown. Born in Chambersburg, November 3, 1920 a daughter of the late Daniel and Ruth Weidel Talhelm. She was a graduate of the former Williamstown High School. Mrs. Devers retired as Tax Collector for Williams Township. She was a member of Williamstown United Methodist Church. She was pre-deceased by her husband Norman in 2006; and brothers John and Robert Talhelm. Surviving are her daughter Cheryl Murgas and her husband, Paul of Johnstown; son Robert Devers and his wife, Janice of Kennewick WA; grandchildren Mark Murgas of CA, Erica Reighard and her husband, Christopher of South Fork, Shane Devers and his wife Cary of Newtown; great-grandchildren Ryan Reighard and Haley Devers; brother Donald Talhelm of Hellertown; sisters Alma Pennell of Levittown, Carol Wetzel of Harrisburg and Barbara Challenger of Williamstown; nieces and nephews. Memorial service Friday, September 21, at Williamstown United Methodist Church. Burial at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. [Harrisburg Patriot-News]
