Daisy died from a stroke and pneumonia. She was the widow of Clyde Ernest Gray Sr and the daughter of Shepard Wilson Price and Comfort Virginia (Gray) Price. Daisy's two brothers, Anderson Littleton Price and Billie Price preceeded her in death. Left to mourn were three daughters: Joyce (Gray) Parsley and her husband Elbert, Virginia (Gray) Wilson and her husband Lincoln, Mary (Gray) Maynor and her husband Howard; two sons: Clyde Gray Jr and his wife Ruth, Ralph S Gray and his wife, Joyce; fifteen grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Daisy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who is still missed today. The greatest loves in her life were God and her family.

At the tender age of just 16, Daisy eloped with Clyde Gray. When the Justice of the Peace asked her if she was over 21, she truthfully replied "yes". Truthfully, because she had put two dimes and a penny in her shoe so she would, in fact, be "over" 21.
