Ruth Searcy Helton age 95, passed on Friday October 9, 2020. A mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, nurse, and devout Christian. Ruth S Helton an identical twin was born November 12, 1924 to her late parents Alvin Edgar and Mammie (Griffin) Searcy at home in Cherry Log, GA. She attended school in a cozy one room schoolhouse in Cherry Log. She lived a life well lived. Ruth touched the hearts of others in a powerful and wonderful enough way that her love, compassion, and goodness will be passed down generation after generation. She is preceded in death by brothers Jerry Searcy, Jack Searcy, David Searcy, sisters Katherine Logan, Ruby Hale, Jean Towe. A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 2:00pm at the Cherry Log Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Kenny Hagin officiating. Survivors include son Michael J Helton and wife Ann A Helton of Blue Ridge, grandson Brandon J Helton of Blue Ridge, GA, granddaughter Sarah H Kendall of Canton, GA, great grandson Tristian Kendall of Canton, GA, great granddaughter Kayleigh Coleman of Canton, GA, brothers Jim and Anne Searcy of Morganton, GA, Bill and Kathy Searcy of Marietta, GA sister in laws Lou Ann Searcy Cherry Log, GA Several other nephews, nieces, great nieces, and nephews.
