Luella gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church (Parkway) under the leadership of Dr. Frank E. Ray, Sr.
Luella leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving, caring husband, Robert Blackmon, Sr., four children, Katherine Pratcher, Patrice Terrell, Melrita (Kevin) Shegog, and Samuel Echols, III as well as a mother to Beverly Brown and Alfreda (Marlavious) Lofties, three stepchildren, Robert (Jackie) Blackmon, Jr., Tracey (Donald) Blackmond and Stacey “Pete” (Lashell Blackmon, one sister Bernice Carter, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
