"VIRGINIA BEACH - Lillie Mae Pallette, 59, of 436 Terrapin Hill Road, a native of Princess Anne County and the wife of Milton Pallette Sr., died Sunday in a hospital.
She was retired from Virginia Beach City Schools and was a member of Virginia Beach Christian Fellowship Church.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Pack, and two stepdaughters, Edna Shorter and Phyllis Hyllberg, of VirginiaBeach; five sons, Raymond C. Mims of Nashville, Tenn., Charlie A. Mims of Chesapeake, Jackson W. Mims of Virginia Beach, Jack J. Mims of Orlando, Fla., and Michael E. Mims of Arlington; five stepsons, Milton Pallette Jr., Andrew Jackson Pallette, William Pallette and William Rhodes of Virginia Beach and Steve Rhodes of Montana; two sisters, Arlene Bright and Lula Mae Campbell of Alexandria; a brother, Leonard Murphy of Long Island, N.Y.; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. G.R. Barnes. Burial will be in Charity Church Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and at her home.
