The name on the death certificate looks like Luuey Hockelman. The penmanship isn't good. His wife is shown as Margie Hockelman. However, the surname is spelled correctly on the Alabama Death Index, 1908-1959 Volume 42, Roll 3, pg #20942 found on Ancestry.com. It is spelled "Hackleman". His occupation was Farming. The cause of death was Peritonitis, Perforating Ulcer of bowels and G Barksdale of Fernbank, Alabama was the M. D. The death certificate states "Luuey" was buried in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. In the 1910 Alabama--Vail, Lamar County census, he is shown as "Tunie" age 6. His mother, Minnie E Hackleman is the head of the household and she is age 31. Minnie's brother, William A Taggart, age 35 is living with them. In the 1920 Alabama--Lamar--Wilson--District 0053 census, the household of John M Sims, he is shown as Lewis C Hockleman, step-son, age 16. His mother, Minnie E, is age 41. Minnie Taggart, married his father, William Henry Hackleman on 26 Jun 1900 in Lamar County. William Henry Hackleman died 9 May 1904 and is buried in Springhill Cemetery, Millport, Lamar County, Alabama. On 28 Oct 1917, Minnie married James M Sims.
