Berthine was the daughter of Gens G. and Johanna K Skaagland. She came to the US in 1913 and five years later, she married Bert Erickson on August 15, 1918. On December 15, 1919, she gave birth to a daughter Mabel. Sadly when Mabel was 5 years old, Berthine died. She is buried with her husband Bert.
