He was born on January 14, 1944 in Mooresville, NC, to the late James and Jessie Abernathy Erwin. Mr. Erwin was retired from CKS Packaging and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Davidson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Alley Erwin; and his brother, Kent H. Erwin.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela E. Yates and husband, Thomas; “adopted” son by choice, Stacey Howe; and sisters, Sandra Webster and husband, James, Barbara Nance and husband, Leonard, Teresa Erwin.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 29 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Stacey Howe and Rev. Jim Bailey officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park.
