Ruth Inez Everett, 93, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, July 7, 1927 in Cooter, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Luther William Wagster and the late Hester Leora Jolly Wagster. Ms. Everett was a retired employee of Sylvania. She had been a member of Newbern First Baptist Church since 1944 where she was a member of the Dorcus Sunday School Class.

Funeral services for Ms. Everett will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 28, 2020 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Mr. Mike McCullough. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee.

She is survived by one son, Steven D. Everett (Debbie) of Newbern, Tennessee; two daughters, Donna Lee Everett of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Tonja D. Everett of Seattle, Washington; seven grandchildren, Tabetha Mamula, Matthew Everett (Ellen), Jon Michael Everett, Todd Newell, James C. Newell (Jenniffer), Christi Coleman (Tracy) and Brandi Beamon (Neal) and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by nineteen brothers and sisters, one grand-daughter, Heather Jones and one grandson, Everett Logan Dowell.

Honoring Ms. Everett as pallbearers will be Deacons of Newbern First Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
