Linda F. (Robertson) Cody, age 60, passed away all too soon on Monday evening, September 21, 2020 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was a resident of Nashville.

Linda was born on October 27, 1959 in Bloomington, to her parents, Clyde R. and Catherine M. (Young) Robertson. She was a 1978 graduate of Bloomington North High School and went on to earn her certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Linda was employed in the Housekeeping Department at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin for the past 15 years. Prior to that, she worked in the Meat Department at the Brown County IGA and as a CNA at Brown County Health Living Community in Nashville.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Marvin “Junior” Cody, whom she married on April 12, 1980 in Unionville. Linda is also survived by her mother, Catherine M. Robertson of Unionville; children, Amanda (Dustin) Smoot of Brown County and Chrissy Cody of North Vernon; grandchildren, Maggie, Tristan and Charlie Smoot; siblings, Dale Robertson of Unionville and Larry (Debbie) Robertson of New Palestine; mother in law, Ruth Cody of Brown County; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Clyde R. Robertson and her father in law, C. Marvin Cody Sr.

Linda was a member of the Unionville Church of Christ. She enjoyed the outdoors by mushroom hunting, fishing, tending to her vegetable & flower gardens and picking blackberries. She loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Linda enjoyed boating & swimming at Lake Lemon and reading Sci-fi books and mystery novels by James Patterson. She will be remembered by her family for her delicious homemade apple and peach pies.

The Rev. Darrel Miller will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bridge Cemetery in Unionville.
