Edith Bailey Allison Dates: Birth date: April 12, 1930 Death date: March 01, 2006 Obituary: Funeral services for Edith Bailey Allison, 75, of Toccoa, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2006 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services with interment to follow at Arabi Cemetery. Mrs Allison, formerly of Cordele, died at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele Wednesday, March 1, 2006. She was born Saturday, April 12, 1930 in Worth County and was the daughter of the late Armenius Cooper Bailey, Sr. and Bertha Perkins Bailey and the widow of Samuel Coney Allison. Mrs. Allison was a retired seamstress and had been employed at Cordele Uniform Company for many years. She is survived by a son, Sammy Allison of Cordele; three daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Ted Teal of Fitzgerald, Angelique and Keith Youngblood of Cordele, and Betty Jo Allison of Lake Park; grandchildren, Brian Allison and his wife, Karen, Christopher Allison, Dianne Morgan and her companion, Sean Edinfield, Scott Teal, Zane Teal, Lindsey Youngblood and Allison Youngblood, five great-grandchildren, Michael Morgan, Dylan Morgan, Cassie Edenfield, Blake Allison and Presley Edenfield; a brother, Turner Bailey of Toccoa, sisters, Virginia B. Nix, Polly B. Payne, Sara B. Edmonds, and Drucilla B. Collier, all of Toccoa, Edna B. Waters and Frances B. Johnson, both of Arabi and Susie B. Lancaster of Augusta. She was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Bailey, Dan Bailey, Pete Bailey and Armenius Cooper (Shorty) Bailey and a sister, Luella Purcell.
