Early on September 11, 2007, our mother, Peggy P. Tracy took her last breath on Earth and her first breath in Heaven. Mom was a woman of strong faith and as we would sit at her bedside, she kept telling us that the line to Heaven was long. She finally took her place at the front.
Born in Everett, Washington on July 10, 1923, to Jerry and Emma Keefe, she was the fifth of nine children.
She leaves behind her children, Bill Carman, of Rockport, WA, Judy Castle, of Marysville, WA, Linda (Wayne) Betts, of Edmonds, WA, and Terry (Lori) Carman, of Lake Goodwin, WA; ten grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Wayne Keefe, Aline Alf, Jackie Elgenbrode, John Keefe, Tom Keefe and Charlotte Herbert.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Edward Keefe; sister, Irene Smith; daughter-in-law, Willie Carman; son-in-law, Roger Castle; brother-in-law, William Hebert; sister-in-law, Eunice Keefe; and infant great-granddaughter, Shaylynn.
She was a lifelong resident of Everett and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for fifty eight years. She worked over twenty five years for Safeway at eighteenth and Broadway.
Funeral mass will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2619 Cedar, Everett, WA. A luncheon will follow the service in the parish hall. Internment at Evergreen Cemetery, Everett, WA will follow the luncheon.
"Come follow Me and I will give you rest."
