Two sons were born there, one of whom was William Alexander in 1877. William A. was also known as 'Fancy Bill' in reference to his dapper way of dressing. William A. never married and it was he who cared for his dad in his old age. He claimed that his father didn't want him to marry and blamed him for 'ruining his life'.

Graveside funeral services for William Alexander Adam will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at the Pleyto Cemetery in Bradley.
Adam, 95, died Tuesday in a Paso Robles nursing home. Born Nov. 11, 1877 in Santa Maria, he had lived in Paso Robles for 11 years.
Surviving are a niece, Catherine Conner of Woodland, a nephew, Donald Adam of Carmichael, and a sister-in-law, Linda Adams of Woodland.
Friends may call at the Kuehl Funeral Home in Paso Robles on Thursday until 9 p.m.
