John Groh was first married to Magdalena Rosenberger, and after her death, to Elizabeth Lehman. The children from his first marriage were Sivina Lauretta and Mary Elizabeth, and from his second marriage, Orville Irvin and Franklin Edward.

Word has been received of the death of Rev. John W. Groh, who passed away last evening at the home of his son, F. E. Groh, 129 Longwood road, Hamilton. The late Rev. Groh. was a brother of Anson Groh and ex-reeve C. T. Groh, Preston-Hespeler road and had resided in that neighborhood, for many years.
