Barbara Randolph Rex, age 75 of Joplin, passed away at her home at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2006.
Born January 25, 1931 in Metropolis, IL, she had lived in Joplin since 1968. A homemaker, Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to garden, was an avid tennis fan and sports lover. She was also a great lover of animals. She was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Randy Randolph and Harry Rex; a daughter, Cheryl L. Ferson and a son, Marty Leroy Randolph.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Lynn Randolph with David Zuehlke, of Joplin, Randi Jean Rabin with Harry of Santa Barbara, CA; her sister, Dorothy Kim with Lloyd of Boulder, CO; seven grandchildren, Tracey Burns with Dennis, Amy Holmes with T.J., Stacy Randolph, Randy Dale Randolph, Robyn Randolph, Megan Randolph and Drake Rabin; three great-grandchildren, Keaton, Denni and Rylee Burns.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 18th at Parker Chapel with Rev. Joe Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
