Janet C. Ohms, 94, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:15 am in her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, October 12, 2018 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Thursday, at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN and and from 9:30 am - 10:00 am Friday at the Queen of All Saints Church Legacy Center.
She was born June 24, 1924 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late John and Mary (Boyan) Malik. On February 2, 1946 in Michigan City, IN she married Woodrow Ohms who preceded her on May 13, 2014.
Surviving are a son, Daniel (Lois) Ohms of Roscoe, IL; daughter, Anne (Randy) Berryman of Hernando, MS; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Genevieve Lasky of Michigan City, IN, Mary Giannini of Michigan City, IN and Irene Jamrok of Merrillville, IN; and two brothers, Edward Malik and John Malik, both of Michigan City, IN.
She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Sophie Pizarek and Dolores Chmielowiec.
Janet was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church.
