Emogene Brown, 94 of Poughkeepsie died Saturday, August 29, 2020. She was born January 1, 1926 in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to William Edmund and Emma Frances Nichols Barnett. She was retired from White Rodgers in Batesville and was a member of the Poughkeepsie Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Billy Mack Higginbottom; one son, Larry "Buck" Higginbottom; one brother, John Mark Barnett and three sisters, Editha Goff, Mae Kunkel and Fern Harris.

Survivors include ; her husband of 57 years, Billy K. Brown of the home; one son, Dr. Michael Higginbottom (Leila) of Cave City; three daughters, Brenda Hetrick of Cave City, Evonne Baxter (Jim) of Calamine and Lisa Wilson (Jeff) of Sherman, Texas; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Monday, August 31, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery at Poughkeepsie with Troy Henley and Dr. Michael Higginbottom officiating.
