Charles Ami BONJOUR, born 21 Sep 1857 in Neuchatel, KS and died 2 Feb 1900 in Eskridge, Wabaunsee, KS, buried in Neuchatel, KS, was the son of Frédéric Henri and Julie Adèle née SIMON. Charles Ami was married to Jenny McCord ZICKEFOOSE. The following appeared in the Onaga Herald February 15, 1900. At his late residence in this city, last Friday morning, Charles A. Bonjour, aged 42. Deceased was born September 20, 1857, in Nemaha county, Kansas near Neuchatel. Was married to Miss Jennie M. Zickafoose, September 23d 85. Into this home thus constituted there have come four children, one of which has preceded the father to the home beyond. A wife, three children, mother, two brothers, five sisters and many friends mourn his loss. Mr. Bonjour was converted at the age of fourteen, and at the time of his death was a member of the Baptist church in Colorado City. He was a faithful husband, a kind father, a good neighbor and a thorough Christian.---Eskridge Star.
