George was born Nov. 11, 1938 in Montour Falls, NY, a son of the late Martin D. and Ethel M. {Spears} Andrews Sr. On Oct. 15, 1976 in Crystal Valley, NY he married the former Grace M. Bush who passed away on April 22, 2016. He retired in 1991 as a fork lift operator for Zotos International, in Geneva, NY. His love of flowers and landscaping promoted his employment at Seneca Country Club in Geneva, and Lakeside Country Club in Penn Yan.
In his spare time, when he wasn't enjoying family time; he loved hunting, fishing, his flowers beds and birds. He will be especially remembered for his love of music and singing, and passionately played lead guitar in his former bands, "George and the Sundowners" and "Seneca Ramblers". Mr. Andrews was a proud member of the NRA.
He is survived and will be missed by his son Martin Joseph (Michelle) Andrews of Dundee; 4 daughters Tammy L. (Bill Pryslopski) Clark of Corning, Brenda M. (Tim) Buck of Pulteney, Bonnie L. (Tim) Rumsey of Dundee, Ann M. Shoop of Randleman, NC; his only surviving sibling sister Shirley Radka of Penn Yan; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and his "baby girl" - "Preciuos".
Besides his wife and parents, he was pre-deceased by a son George R. "Rick" Andrews II in 1974, stepdaughter Mary Jane McMaster in 1990, step son James Lynn Scotchmer in 2012, and 4 sisters Emaline Andrews, Inez Heffner, Dorothy Ameigh, Beatrice Spears, and 5 brothers, Frederick, Robert, Danny, Donald, and Martin Jr..
