The funeral of Mrs. F. Matthiesen, who died last Saturday afternoon in Cuming city township, took place last Monday and a long procession of relatives and friends witnessed the burial at Blair cemetery.

The sad deaths of the wives of two of our neighbors occurred Saturday evening at about the same hour. Mrs. Fritz Matthiessen and Mrs. B. S. McNair both passed away. The former leaves a husband and four little children, while Mr. McNair is left with nine living children under 16 years of age, the youngest being born on the day of its mother’s death. We hope the kind hearted neighbors will join hands and assist the two mourning families.
