James G. Flynn, 78, of 235 N. Silverleaf St., Gladwin, died Sunday, April 25, 1993, in Central Michigan Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, after an illness of several months. Born in Gladwin, May 5, 1914, he had spent his lifetime here. Mr. Flynn was an engineer for Sempco Co. in West Branch. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Gladwin Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are 3 sons. Rick of Rockford, Michael of Defiance, Ohio and Patrick of Bloomer, Wisc; 3 daughters, Mrs. Denny (Mary) Starens of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Dan (Carol) Henson of Salt Lake City, Utah and Mrs. Jim (Katie) Felke of Rochester, hid.; 3 brothers, Fr. Francis of Muskegon, Raymond of Gladwin and Wendell of Detroit; 3 sisters. Helen Husted of Waterford, Marguerite Flynn of Detroit and Ruth Jean Fahalee of Farmington; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers.

Services were held today, Wednesday, at noon from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Father Jules Spleet officiated and burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. A Rosary was held Tuesday evening at the Sisson Funeral Home. Gladwin County Record dated 4-28/1993 Column – 4 Page – 2.
