Glen James "Jim" Huggard Obituary

Jim Huggard returned to his Heavenly Father from his home in American Fork on Dec 27, 2006.

Born in Am. Fork on Christmas Day, 1925 to Frank and Ethel Ashton Huggard, the 8th of 9 children. He lived his entire life in the Am. Fork First Ward.

Graduated Am. Fork High School and Seminary, World War II Veteran US Navy, employed at Geneva Steel, studied accounting at BYU and later became a plumbing contractor. He completed his working career at Am. Fork Developmental Center.
Dad married the love of his life Norma Jean Gammon July 24th, 1953. They were sealed in the Logan temple in 1989. To this happy union was received 4 children: Roy Lee, Irene, Rex James "Jim", and Jeffry Dee.

Mom and Dad enjoyed many happy years together. They served a mission in Nauvoo and this time together will always be cherished. Dad served faithfully in many church callings.

Dad loved the outdoors; camping, hunting, and fishing. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family. He was an avid BYU fan.

Dad was quiet, an unassuming man, and a true gentleman. He lived his life in quiet servitude and taught us by his example.

Survivors include his lovely wife Norma Jean, Roy Lee's wife Ellen, Irene, Jim & SheRie, Jeff & Leanne, Blanche Ovard (sister), 20 grandchildren. 27 great grandchildren, and 13 brother and sister in-laws.

Dad was proceeded in death by his parents, son Roy Lee, and 7 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Jan. 2nd, in the Am. Fork 1st Ward Chapel at 381 So. 300 E. A gathering for family and friends will be held 6-8 PM, Monday Jan. 1st at Anderson's Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N., Am. Fork. A viewing will be held in the 1st ward building 1-1/2 hours prior to services. Interment: American Fork Cemetery.
