Services for Stanley Rimer, 87, of Lubbock will be held at 10 am Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Jody O’Bryant officiating.
Stanley was born on October 21, 1932, to Charles “Owen” and Mabel Rimer in Rush Springs, OK. He enjoyed family, fishing, and woodworking. Stanley married Ardeth on January 12, 1983, in Brownfield. In his early years, he worked as an oilfield pumper and later he pursued a career in truck driving.
Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Owen” and Mabel Rimer; 3 brothers, Bobby Gene, Arnold and Harold Wayne; sister, Pat Propps and a son, Gayland Ingram.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Ardeth Rimer; son, Keith Rimer and wife Gail; 2 daughters, Tammy Strunk and Karen Thompson and husband Jimmy; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Raymond Dale Rimer and wife Pam, and Danny Marlin Rimer and wife Penny and numerous nieces and nephews.
