William "Sawyer" Daniel was the son of Absalom and Loucrecia Roberts Daniel. His tombstone gives his year of death as 1950, but his death certificate and obituary say 1949. He is listed in census records with William being his first name. He was called by "Sawyer".

Rites Held Today For William Daniel

Funeral services for William Sawyer Daniel, 50, were held at 11 A.M. Today at Johnson Chapel. Rev. Cabe Smith and Rev. Floyd Parker conducted the rites. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery, Peck directing.

Mr. Daniel died quite suddenly Tuesday. His body was found in the yard of his home, Danville 3, about 3:30 P.M. County coroner Joe Morrison said he died of a heart attack.

Surviving are: a sister, Mrs. Cora Roberts, Danville 3 and one brother, Isaac Daniel, Trinity 1.

Pallbearers were: Davis Roberts, Odis Hill, Johnnie Franklin, Parker Aldridge, Ernest Jackson and O. D. Poole.

DANVILLE 3 FARMER SUMMONED BY DEATH

William Sawyer Daniel, 50, Danville Route 3 farmer, died at his home at 3:30 p.m. October 4.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. Floyd Parker and Rev. Cabe Smith were held at Johnson Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on October 5. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery, Peck conducting.

Pallbearers were Davis Roberts, Otis Hill, Johnnie Franklin, Parker Aldridge, Ernest Jackson and O. D. Poole.

Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Cora Roberts, Danville 3; one brother, Isaac Daniel, Trinity 1.
