Anthony opened his salon, La Jolie Femme, in 1960 in Greenwich, relocating to Stamford in 1975. Anthony was a visionary and innovator who had the professional wisdom to also become a licensed cosmetologist skilled at delivering esthetic services.
He was dedicated to his clients' needs and throughout his career continuously stressed professional education and new techniques to be used for their benefit. His clientele often included multi-generations who returned the affection and loyalty he had for them.
Growing up in Stamford, he was proud of his West Side roots and always enjoyed reminiscing with friends and family about his earlier Stamford memories.
Mr. Lupinacci was an avid golfer and was also a founder of the Calabrese Golf Open. He is survived by his beloved wife Lydia Tarantino Lupinacci of Cos Cob, CT and his loving children: Marc Anthony Lupinacci and his wife Gretzhen of Cos Cob, CT, Tony Ann Lupinacci-McClenny and her husband David of Stamford, CT, Cheryl Lyn VanVoorhies and her husband Richard of Stamford, CT and a brother Vincent Lupinacci of Darien, CT and a granddaughter Bianca.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 31 at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Riverside, CT. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, North Street Greenwich, CT. Friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home 8 Schuyler Avenue on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 from 3-8 PM.
