A Thanksgiving week with her mother in Redwood City has ended tragically for a 14-year-old Madera girl. James McFatridge of Madera brought his daughter, Debra, to Redwood City Saturday for a week's visit with the girl's mother, Mary, at 1008 Woodside Road.
Before the night was out, Debra was killed when a car in which she was a passenger slammed into a parked car at Fulton and Hopkins Ave., Redwood City police said.
The driver of the car, Lyn Scott Rogerson, 18, of 937 Rose, Redwood City, and other passengers were treated for injuries at Sequoia Hospital.
Police were still investigating the cause of the accident.
