Diane Duke Allred, age 67, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2020 at Diversicare of Eupora, Mississippi. She was born to the late Kimble and Ethel Raines Duke on August 18, 1952 .

Diane was a lifelong resident of Maben, Mississippi and former rural mail carrier to the area. Everyone joked that she was quite a “talker” that never met a stranger. Diane had a big heart, a friendly smile, and a huge personality. She loved her family unconditionally, especially her five grandchildren. She was a member of Maben First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, James E. Allred, Sr. of Maben, Mississippi; one son, James Edward Allred, Jr. of Rockville, Maryland; one daughter, Angela Allred (Rick) Allen of Philadelphia, Mississippi; one brother; Michael Duke (Sharon) of West Point, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Brittany Boisseau, Brooke Boisseau Swann, Jamison Allred, Evan Allred, and Ryan Allred; and one great grandchild “on the way” in October.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Kimble and Ethel Raines Duke, and one brother, James Kimble “Pete” Duke.

A come and go visitation for friends and family will be held on Saturday, August 1 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home; funeral for family and close friends following at 11:00 a.m. at Wise Reed Chapel; and burial at Maben Memorial Gardens.
