John Edward Burk, of Ogilvie, MN, passed away on November 29, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. He was 61 years old.
John was born on January 1, 1957, in Braham, MN to Don and Marjorie (Nelson) Burk. He grew up on the family farm outside of Ogilvie where he enjoyed spending time with his siblings and close friends. He graduated from Ogilvie Public School in 1974. After working in Texas for a few years, he returned to Ogilvie and purchased the family farm in 1993. In 1998, John met the love of his life, Katy Coplan and they married in 2000. John enjoyed farming, fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. John had a big heart and would help anyone who needed a hand. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Don, and brother Steve.
John is survived by his wife Katy; son Tony; daughters, Tomi and Brandi; mother Marjorie; brothers, Gary (Lory) Burk, Tim (Lori) Burk; sister Linda (Richard) Hass; sister-in-law Kathy Burk; lifetime friend Mark Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
