Before Melba died from throat cancer, she knocked on the door, I answered. We had a short discussion with her communicating by pencil and paper she always carried. A nice lady. I drove mom to her house (toward Sahoma Lake, on Armory road) several times. Melba shot coyotes from her kitchen doorway.
