Gladys Ellen Dobbs Edington, 84, 6350 Lamar Road, died Friday, March 25, at Cherry Street Annex.
Services were held Monday, March 28, in Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Edington was born Aug. 13, 1903, in the Marvin community, a daughter of Henry and Hannah McCoy Dobbs.
She married Miles [W.] Edington on Feb. 12, 1922, in Paris. He died Nov. 29, 1969.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and a member of its Naomi Sunday School Class.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Neil (Betty) Gunter of Paris; five grandchildren; one sister, Beatrice Bales of Stamps, Ark.; an aunt, Fannie Bush of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Miles Edington, Jr.; a daughter, Frances Head; and two sisters, Frances McGill and Lillian Hildebrand.
