Anna Miller was born on the Blue March 24, 1860, just across the river from Blue Rapids, KS., to Henry H. Jr. and Sarah (Johns) Miller. She passed away at the advanced age of 83 years, 2 months and 19 days.
On December 24, 1879, she was united in marriage to Frank A. Brooks. To this union five children were born; Marquis and Mrs. Etta McRae of Blue Rapids; Ralph and Charlie of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and Mrs. Ruth Alley of Colorado Springs, CO.
Besides her own children she took her grandson, Ghamond Brooks, at the age of four months and raised him to manhood. She is also survived by 29 grandchidren, 17 great grandchildren and one brother, J.P. Miller.
Services were held at the First Baptist Church in Blue Rapids, KS.
