Clyde A. Vaughn, 70, 320 Glenwood, Olney, died at 3 a.m. this morning at Richland Memorial Hospital.

Services will be in Summers Funeral Home with Rev. John Spears presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Dale Cemetery.

Mr. Vaughn was born Sept. 24, 1912, in Edwards County, the son of Lewis and Bertha (Miller) Vaughn. He married Lucie Nettleton Oct. 5, 1935 and she survives.

He was a laborer and a member of the Olney Church of God.

Other survivors include a son, Kenneth E., Olney; five daughters, Mary Alice Whittington, Houston, Texas; Barbara E. Barre, Houston; Bertha and Betty May McVaigh, both of West Liberty; Violet M. Williams, Mahomet; two sisters, Viola King, Parkersburg; and Wilma Dean, Seminary; 27 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son; a daughter; a grandchild; a sister; and a brother.
