Mrs. Annette Hoffman Hickox, 74 of Patterson, passed away Monday afternoon, July 20, 2020, at her residence.

Born in Fernandina Beach, FL on September 23, 1945, she had lived in Fernandina for many years before moving to Pierce County in 1981. Mrs. Hickox had been a school bus driver for the Nassau County Board of Education for several years but had also worked on her family farm raising hogs. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren dearly and always enjoyed trips to the mountains of North Carolina with them. Mrs. Hickox loved to cook, grow flowers, and garden and was of the Primitive Baptist faith.

She was the daughter of the late Adam John & Mae Lovell Hoffman. She was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Skylar Lynn Meadows; and both of her brothers, George Hoffman and John Hoffman.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Robert E. Hickox of Patterson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tressa Annette & Kenneth Smith of Evans, GA and Lisa & Donnie Murphy of Patterson; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert A. & Michelle Hickox of Covington, GA, Bobby J. Hickox of North Augusta, SC, and Ephriam L. & Brenda Hickox of Hilliard, FL; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will have a visitation only for Mrs. Hickox on Wednesday evening, July 22, 2020, from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

The family will have a private burial in the New Home Cemetery.

The family would also like to give special thanks to Dorothy Griffin of Patterson for her graciousness, love, and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to a charity of one’s choosing.
