Wyvil Cecil Scoggins, 79, died at Tyler Holmes Hospital after a short illness on Saturday, February 21. He was a farmer and member of Hebron Church.
Mr. Scoggins is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Berlin Tindoll, Vaiden; Mrs. Meade Tyler of Winona; Mrs. Johnny Gibson and Mrs. J.T. Gibson, both of Vaiden; by three sons, William O. Scoggins, John Scoggins both of Jackson, and Max Scoggins of Biloxi, Also by 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Nowell Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 22 with Rev. Norris Corley and Rev. John A. Wade officiating. Burial was in Winona Garden of Memory with Nowell Funeral Home of Kosciusko in charge.
Pallbearers were Ken Gibson, Melvin Gibson, Rosamond Tyler, William Scoggins, Johnnie Scoggins and Ronny Scoggins, all grandsons.
