Dan Irvin Adams of Duncanville, Texas passed away July 13, 2020 at the age of 89. He was born on May 20, 1931 in Dawson, Texas to Virgil “Bill” and Thelma Adams. Dan worked at Dresser Industries for 28 years and was a building supervisor at a Dallas high rise for many years. He was a country boy at heart, loved to “tinker” and could fix anything. Dan and Pat traveled extensively in their RV and were members of the Lone star Streamers RV Club for many years. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who met him. Dan is survived by his wife, Pat Adams; his son, Rickey and his wife Glenda; his daughter, Pam Armistead and husband, Al; grandson, Billy Dan Adams and wife Kristie; granddaughter, Kimberly Bailey and Kelsey Armistead; two great grandsons and two great granddaughters; sisters, Linda Tanner, Joyce Campbell and her husband John, and Karinell Tucker; numerous nieces and nephews; step-son, Larry Brown and fiancé, Susan; step daughters, Cindy Burgwin and Mindy Fogg and her husband David. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Don Adams and his sister Joann Farmer. The family would like to thank all of caretakers, nurses and staff at Bristol Hospice for their compassionate care for Dan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 5 to 7pm at Jaynes Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at 1pm at Dawson Cemetery in Dawson, Texas.
