Don Allen Adams, 84, of Tatum, was born on August 30, 1928 in Dawson, Texas to Bill and Thelma (Prater) Adams and passed away on October 19, 2012 at Lovington Good Samaritan Center. He married Mary Beth Holladay in Dawson, Texas on July 22, 1949. He was employed by Amerada Hess for 32 years. Don was a resident of Lovington Good Samaritan Center for two and a half months. He enjoyed baseball, fishing, hunting and dominoes and loved his family very much. He coached Little League for many years. He enjoyed traveling in their travel trailer, bird watching from his back porch and watching the neighborhood children play. He loved all the Tatum Sports teams and especially the Girls Volleyball team. The 2012 Girl's Volleyball team came to visit him in the nursing home. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister: Jo Ann Farmer. He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth of the home, one son: Joey and wife Cheri Adams of Tatum; one daughter: Debbie and husband Maurice Mitchell of Katy, TX; one brother: Dan and wife Pat Adams of Duncanville, TX and three sisters: Karinell Tucker of Waco, TX; Lynda Tanner of Corsicana, TX and Joyce and husband John Campbell of Thornton, TX. Also, five grandchildren: Justin Mitchell, Amy Daniel, Cassie Adams, Courtney Watson and David Adams; ten great-grandchildren: Emsley and Catie Grace Mitchell, Eli and Evan Daniel, J.P. and Jason Kirk, Kyle and Kolten Watson and Haylee and Mike Adams.
