Armando Candelaria, a beloved husband and father, passed away at the age of 46 on July 3, 2020. Born in Los Angeles he became a resident of Madera where he held a position of Shipping & Receiving Inventory Control Clerk for the past five years at Azteca Milling. Previously, he worked for Baltimore Aircoil Company for 19 years before opening Players Smoked BBQ in 2013 as one of the original owners.

Armando graduated from Madera High School in 1992 where he played football, baseball and wrestled. Armando was a very hard worker who always put his family first. He enjoyed playing his accordion during his leisure time.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years and high school sweetheart, Blanca Candelaria, and their children Yesenia Candelaria and Evan Candelaria, along with his mother and father Florentino and Margarita Candelaria and his two brother's Tino and Alex Candelaria. He will be greatly missed.

The Recitation of the Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera. Interment immediately following at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.

CHANGE OF SERVICES. AS A RESULT OF NEW RULES ISSUED ON 07/14/2020 BY GOVERNOR NEWSOM IMPACTING FUNERALS, THERE IS A MAXIMUM OF 10 IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS ALLOWED INSIDE THE CHURCH DURING FUNERAL SERVICES.

REGULATIONS FOR THE MADERA CEMETERY DISTRICT ALLOW NO MORE THAN 50 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE AT GRAVESIDE SERVICES. PLEASE MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING AND WEAR A FACE MASK DURING PUBLIC GATHERINGS.
