Romayne Donald Lund, age 86, of Osage, MN passed away on June 25, 2020 at CHI Area Health Services.

Romayne was born September 9, 1933 in Clearbrook, MN to Arthur and Ella (Rundquist) Lund.

After graduating from high school he began a career in tree trimming. In addition, he worked years of service serving as a coordinator in several congregations of Jehovah’s Witness in Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana, including three years at the World Headquarters of Jehovah Witness in Brooklyn, NY where he ran a printing press. He loved talking to people about God’s Kingdom and a hope for the future. He worked for Wright Tree Service and later for Asplund Tree Service. Romayne loved working with trees and would prune any tree or shrub he thought needed pruning. He received numerous safety awards from Asplund and retired from the company in 1996.

Romayne loved traveling, gardening, working with trees and taking care of his yard. He loved talking about Jehovah’s creation. He was a devoted husband and father.

He is survived by his wife, Penny; his son, John (Samantha) Lund; stepchildren, Kristy Wilde, Kurt Ness, Kory Ness, Kara Kennedy and Kip Ness; two brothers, Royal and Uno Lund; a grandson, Jude Lund; and many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanette; two sons, Scott Lund and Baby Boy Lund; his parents, Arthur and Ella Lund; seven siblings, Gloria Lund (baby sister), Lola King (Lund), Arthur Jr. “Buddy” Lund, Robert Lund, Hope Aasen (Lund), Gwen Rouland (Lund), and Iona Moen (Lund).

Interment will be held at the Augustana Cemetery near Clearbrook, MN on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Casket Bearers will be Jude Lund, Jordan Kraus, Mitchel Wilde, Dakota Ness, Trevor Ness, Payten Johnson, Ethan Anstein, and Tim Stock.
