Robert “Gus” Simpson; 56 of McDermott, Ohio was reunited with his dad and son on Thursday June 18, 2020 .
The Portsmouth native was born October 31, 1963, a son of Phyllis Anna Allen Foreman of McDermott and the late Ernest Simpson. Gus liked to fish, was a good father but an even better grandfather.
In addition to his dad, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Simpson, 2 brothers; Randy and Verlin Foreman, 2 sisters; Margie Foreman, Beverly Fannin and his maternal grandparents; Geneva and Reese Allen.
In addition to his mother Phyllis at home, he is survived by his life partner of 36 years; Rosetta Simpson, a daughter; Casandra Simpson, a stepson; Aaron Warren; 2 brothers; William and Earl Foreman, 4 Sisters; Tonya Williams, Lequita Walker, Ashley Osborne, Brenda Meadows, 8 grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday June 24, 2020 at the Lombardsville Community Church located at 13012 St Rte 73; McDermott, Ohio 45652. With Rev. Shawn Spencer officiating. Gus will be laid to rest next to his son after the service in the Garvin Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church where the family viewing will begin at noon.
His mother has entrusted her sons care to the Taylor-Brown Family of Brown Funeral Chapel.
