Marion Stintson, who shot himself last week, died on Sunday morning, having lived since Friday morning with a terrible bullet hole in his head. He was buried at Bethel on Tuesday. No cause is yet known for the rash act. It is not true, as has been stated, that he was drinking. He had not been known to drink any since the 5th of July.

Son of Seth and Elizabeth (Stall) Stinson. He was married to Mary E. Black (d/o John and Martha A. Black) 26 Apr 1870 at Marion, Linn, Iowa. They had one daughter, Maggie Mae, as well as son James E. or Deft Stinson.
