Nelldean Hollinshead went home to her Heavenly Father Sunday, May 15, 2005.
She was born in Ada, Okla. Feb. 19, 1918, and lived in Oklahoma until she married R.E. "Dick" Hollinshead July 2, 1939. In 1957, Dick and Nelldean made their home in Lubbock. For over 20 years she worked at the S&H Green Stamp Store until retiring at the age of 62. Westmont Christian Church was their church home for the majority of their years in Lubbock.

Through her example, her children and grandchildren learned how to foster and encourage their own families.
Survivors include her husband, R.E. "Dick" Hollinshead; and two sons, Gene Hollinshead and his wife Tiny, and Wayne Hollinshead. She was preceded in death by her son, David Hollinshead. Additional survivors include her grandchildren, Rick and Jill Hollinshead, Jeff and Leann Hollinshead, J and Christy Hollinshead and Brent and Ashley Graves, as well as eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be this evening at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 18, at 9 a.m. at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park followed by a memorial service at Westmont Christian Church at 10:30 a.m.
