Jim was the son of John Leslie Hallmark and Dolly May Chaney Hallmark. He married Nancy Otto, Oct. 22, 1960 in Havana and she survives.

Also surviving are four sons, David (wife Angie) Hallmark, James "Jamie" Hallmark, Michael (wife Lisa) Hallmark and Danny (wife Amanda) Hallmark, all of Havana; one daughter, Barbara Hallmark, of Havana; 11 grandchildren; seven sisters, Frances Williams and Linda Morris, both of Havana, Ruth Ann Belleville and Kathy Oetjen, both of Rushville, IL, Sandra McCabe of Cuba, IL, Harriett Palmer of Binita, OK and Mary Jo Tribbett of Kilbourne, IL; four brothers, Robert of Homewood, PA, Larry of Havana, Michael of Kilbourne and Richard of Lincoln, IL.

He was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.

Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana.
