Funeral services were held March 13 at an Indianapolis funeral home for Mrs. Cassie Gibbs, 40. Mrs Gibbs died at the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs John Thompson, at Indianapolis. Burial was at the Belle Union Cemetery.
Mrs Gibbs was a native of Monroe County. She had been ill for a about 4 years. Beside her parents,she is survived by a daughter, Brenda Gibbs, Indianapolis; six sisters, Mrs Agnes Walker, Bell Union, Mrs Irene Proffitt, Edinburg, Mrs Corrine Merriss, Detroit, Mrs Chloe Cox, Mrs Mollie Mann and Mrs Emogene Russell, one brother, Cleo Thompson, Detroit.
