MARION - Michael Hermenet, 81, of Minsteed Road died Tuesday, May 17, 1966 in Newark Nursing Home, Newark, New York.

He was born in Holland, July 6, 1884, a son a Michiel and Elizabeth (deRoo) Hermenet. His wife, the former Nellie Boeye, died in 1954.

Mr. Hermenet operated a farm on Minsteed Road until his retirement. He was a member of the Second Reformed Church.

Surviving are one son, Michael Hermenet Jr.; five daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Nellie) Elliott of Marion, Mrs. Abram (Elizabeth) De Meyer of Sodus, Mrs. Harold (Elsie) Norsen, Mrs. James (Ruth Ann) Cheeseman and Mrs. Raymond (Anna) Rommell, all of Newark; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, John Hermenet of Marion, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Leurgans in Holland.

Friends may call at the Young Funeral Home in Williamson this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., when Rev. Cornelius Vandewoude will officiate at the service Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery.
