Nettie Ruth Busby McCleery, 84, of Lorena, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at the home of her son, Charles Lunday. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at Waco Memorial Funeral Home, formerly Heritage Memorial, with Pastor Olin Knudsen officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park.
Nettie Ruth was born in Frosa, Texas, to the late Charles Cloy and Pearl Terry Busby. She married Clarence Odell Lunday in 1940. She then married Bobby Ray McCleery in 1964.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Lunday; second husband, Bobby McCleery; five brothers; and one granddaughter.
Nettie Ruth McCleery is survived by son, Charles Lunday and wife, Jill, of Bruceville; daughters, Janet Gilbert and husband, Larry, of Bardwell, Texas, and Nadine Watson and husband, Jim, of Friendswood; grandchildren, Chris Lunday, of Bruceville, Greg Lunday and wife, Mindi, of Colleyville, Paul Mosley, of Benton, Ill., Mike Mosley and wife, Donna, of Clifton, Steve Mosley and wife, Julie, of Deming, N.M., Ginger Ruth Guttner and husband, Bowman, of Baton Rouge, La., Jami Pearl Ignatious and husband, Jeremy, of League City, and Staci Watson, of Marrero, La.; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brothers, George Busby and his wife, Linda, of Waco, and Charles Busby, of Houston; sister, Bess Whiddon, of Lacy-Lakeview; and numerous nieces and nephews.
