Rosemary Elizabeth (Small) Medlin, age 95, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the Hiawatha Community Hospital. Rosemary was born on January 19, 1925, the daughter Henry O. Small & Hazel Edith (Sleppy) Small. She graduated from Horton High School, Class of 1943. She worked initially at the Horton Garment Factory. She then married Charles Medlin on May 22, 1949 in Horton, Kansas. They lived in a variety of locations over the years, dictated by his job. They returned to Horton to own & run the Town Cafe for several years. She enjoyed her work via the Horton Senior Citizen’s Center with the bag mat project, watching the Weather Channel, attending church at Horton United Methodist Church and caring for her doggie friend/companion "Mitzi". She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, son, Charles “Rick” Medlin, brother, Charles Small, sister, Velma (Small) Myers and a friend, Jim Bevans. , great granddaughter, a grandson, many nieces, nephews & friends. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the Horton Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary.
