Betty Joyce Ferguson, 67, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 11, 2003. She was born November 7, 1935 in Ada, Oklahoma. Her parents were Frank and Mary Townsley. She began schooling in California, then moved to Oklahoma in 1955, where she completed her education. She enjoyed her life as a housewife and mother. She worked for 10 years at Odom Construction Co. Betty married Plez C. Ferguson on June 13, 1959 in OKC. They were married for 43 years.
Survivors include her loving husband and son, Plez and Robert Ferguson of the home. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and so many wonderful friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Townsley, Sisters, Irene Merryman, Lorene McIlroy, Juanita Mullins, Georgia Lee Ragland and Agnes Horton.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 15, 2003 at Knob Hill Baptist Church, SW 59th and Ross with Revered Ron Mimms & Scott Gordon officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
