Son of William T Sharp and Sarah Boyd. He was a farmer and married to Lorinda Main on Mar 23, 1854 in Delaware Co, OH. Their children included :

  2. Lawrence (b. ~1856)
  3. Mary (b. ~1857)
  4. Landon W (b. 1859), m. Mary E Bader
  5. Leslie B (b. 1863), m. Nettie Morehouse

After his first wife died, he remarried to widow Siantha (nee Weiser) Cline in about 1874 and their children included :


  1. Frank (b. ~1875), m. Mildred Shoemaker
  2. Kittie (b. ~1877), m. Harry Raines


During the Civil War, he was a Captain of Company D of the 121st Regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry from Aug 1862 to March 1864. This regiment saw action at Perryville KY, Chickamauga GA, Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge near Chattanooga TN, Buzzard Roost Gap GA, Rome GA, Kenesaw Mountain GA, Peach Tree Creek GA and the siege of Atlanta GA.


His 1867 home west of Ashley in Delaware Co OH is on the National Register of Historic Places.
