Kenneth Ray Boatright, 59, of Amarillo died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street.

Kenneth was born March 1, 1948, in Sapulpa, Okla., to Raymond and Edna Boatright. He was a man who loved his family and would sacrifice anything for them. He was a caretaker for his wife, Deniece, before she passed.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He had a laugh that echoes through our memories. He was a lifelong friend to many people. Through all the obstacles, he remained pure of heart and devoted to those he loved.

Survivors include two daughters, Gwen Siegeler and Kashion Smith; a son, Kenneth Boatright Jr.; three sisters, Mary, Ada, and Betty; two brothers, Wayne and Curby; four granddaughters; two grandsons; and two great-grandsons.

There will be no viewing.
